Z House by Hohyun Park and Hyunjoo Kim
Z House is located at Gwangju Si, Gyeonggi-Do, near the capital of South Korea – Seoul, and lies on a plot of 805 sq.m at the top of a hill with a deep slope. This modern home is built of reinforced concrete with beautiful exterior finishes of Black Zinc, Basalt, Red Cedar and Slate that correspond perfectly with the surrounding woods and mountains. The building has two levels – a ground and upper level which cross at division areas and give the house an interesting X-like design. Architects Hohyun Park and Hyunjoo Kim used a lot of natural materials to achieve warmth and elegance – Pine, Cedar, Wenge, Zebrano and Slate blend to create a stylish modern interior. They did excellent, didn’t they?
