Modern Island House by IROJE KHM Architects
Seoul-based IROJE KHM Architects have created this strangely beautiful residential complex on the Han River in Kangwon – a South Korea’s prefecture. As a proper example of deconstructive architecture, the Island House resembles more to a vessel than to a house, thanks to its angled steel and glass facades and step typed roofs. This amazing house has a double-height open plan, and its construction is arranged around a large swimming pool and an outdoor dining area. Island House seems to be entirely engaged with the river – except for the extensive views, it also offers a private marina for speedboats.
