How To: Installing Kitchen Knobs

A kitchen just isn’t finished sometimes without the installation of the hardware on the drawers and cabinets. This is a very simple install to do, if you have the right instructions and parts. When it comes to putting in your kitchen hardware, you can really do it yourself. For this install we will be installing cabinet knobs.

Parts Needed:

• Knobs
• Precision Alignment Guide  (can be found at any hardware store)
• 3/16″ drill bit
• Electric drill
• Pencil
• Screwdriver

Instructions:

Using Precision Alignment Guide (PAG), measure up the side of the door and mark the area in which you want the knob to be. Now, turn PAG sideways, place the centerline over the previous mark on door and align. Mark the exact location for the cabinet knobs. Using drillbit and drill, drill from the outside of the cabinet to the inside.  Once you are complete with measurements and drilling, use your screwdriver install you cabinet knobs.

Quite simple. Continue this over every cabinet in your kitchen or bathroom. You will be left with a professional attractive job that you nicely did yourself.
