The Boolean Cafe
This astonishing cafe at the University of Tokyo was designed by Torafu Architects. A creative collaboration of wood and skillful design. It makes us wonder if the designer has a fondness of cheese? The wood design climbs the wall and flows to the floor which creates bench-like seating. The holes act as art and windows for the area. The walls create needed partitions and visual interest for what was a boring waiting room area.
With the addition of the design by Torafu Architects, the room is given a new purpose and function. Pretty cool what a little wood can do for a room . Check out more images at Momoy, and see what a little ingenuity and creative design can bring forth.
