Artemide Mercury Light

The Mercury is a suspension light designed by Ross Lovegrove. This unique light comes in two different forms, as a suspension or ceiling mounted light. The light is made with a large aluminum circular disc that has multiple floating pebbles hanging beneath it. One look at the pebbles and you can see where they came up with the name Mercury. The orb-like pebbles certainly do look like floating mercury drops.

During the day the high gloss pebbles reflect natural light and movement. When the light is turned on the light is bounced off each pebble, turning the pebbles into indirect light reflectors. The pebbles are made of injection-molded thermoplastic material with a metallic finish. The Mercury is available in satin aluminum and polished chrome. The Mercury Light by Artemide is sure to light up any contemporary space.
