The Tangle Lamp by Jo Davies and Matthew Booth – the name speaks for itself
This big wire knot looks really messed up, doesn’t it? It is only ostensibly, as every detail of this lamps is a product of” hours of discussion and argument”, say its creators – Jo Davies and Matthew Booth. Matthew, as a photographer and keen rock climber is responsible for the direction light element and the wire tension feel of the suspended lamp. Jo, who is a ceramist, names the beautiful porcelain flutes as her part and shares the “secret” that the electrical cord is not electrified. The original design of the Tangle Lamp consists of 12 flutes, but their number can be increased or decreased in accordance with the surrounding space. A 12-flutes Tangle Lamps is worth £1350. – via contemporist
